Drabble #04: Emergency

Derek wasn’t known for his patience. Nor was he known for taking no for an answer. But with a sick Stiles being treated for food poisoning in the Emergency Room, Derek had no choice in the matter. Now more than ever, he began to realize how much Scott’s pack had become like younger siblings to him. Derek wasn’t the alpha anymore, but it was still innate in him to protect his pack… perhaps more so now that he wasn’t running around trying to prove his alpha worth.

The good news was Stiles was okay. That was what mattered most now.
