Ten of your personality quirks
- My whole life really does revolve around racing. In fact, I'm pretty sure numbers 2 through 10 on this list can all be traced back to this.
- I go to bed at 8pm sharp every night during a race weekend. Basically, it's like a school night, except that my tests are conducted at 241 miles an hour.
- During racing activities, my personality changes drastically. I'm much more serious and very focused, and I completely shut out anything and anyone that isn't relevant.
- I enjoy wearing my own driver T-shirts (and those of my friends). Because how often do you get a T-shirt with your own name and number on it?
- I take handwritten notes during every meeting. It's important to have that information on hand for future reference.
- I feel obligated to help fix my own race car if I do something to break it. I think it's only fair, but this has resulted in me repeatedly being kicked out of my own garage.
- I used to look down at street racers. I'm trying not to do that anymore.
- I'm an unashamed daddy's girl. My dad raised me alone nearly from birth and always supported me no matter what and was my introduction to this world that I love, so yeah, I don't care if that's not cool.
- Pop music calms me down when I'm upset. I'm talking full-on pop music. Ed Sheeran, The Wanted, Maroon 5, One Direction. My trainer hates it when I beat him to the gym because then I get to pick the music.
- But I'm apparently pop culture dense since I didn't know what a Waffle House was and just today realized that Pottery Barn does not actually sell pottery. Refer back to number 1.
