138.2: Quotes

"If someone were to harm my family or a friend or somebody I love, I would eat them. I might end up in jail for 500 years, but I would eat them." - Johnny Depp

It started with just the occasional odd thought in the middle of the night or when something would remind her. However, like an infection, the words that demon spoke spread until she found herself holed up in the city library for hours on end pouring over whatever books she could find about demons, hell, hellish realms, and communicating with the dead. For someone who had recently been possessed, she was having a really difficult time buying any of it. She liked to think of herself as pretty open-minded but while she had no problem with superpowers, time travel, and alternate realities, god, demons, and hell was just a little far fetched even for her.

Still, she couldn't get it out of her head. There'd been a demon inside her. She'd felt how much it hated her, knew that it was a liar, so it could have just been trying to hurt her but she still couldn't get the idea of her parents in hell out of her head. The demon had said that it was a deal made to save her which didn't make any sense since her parents weren't religious but how many times had people called her recovery after the accident a miracle? How many times had she wondered why her life had been spared when her parents hadn't been? It made a certain kind of sense even if everything in her wanted it to not be true. If there was an afterlife, a paradise, her parents deserved to be there. Not trapped and tortured for the rest of always. So if there was anything she could do to save them or take the deal back, she had to try.
