#79 CANDLE
Euan sat about six rows back from the alter in the Catholic cathedral. There was unimposing organ music playing, the church mostly empty. He had lost track of how long he had been here. But the longer he sat, the longer he realised it was nothing to do with him having faith or seeking peace, and everything to do with finding himself over-thinking all aspects that made him who he was, and what his life meant.
He got up and made his way to the candle stand, lighting two. Right now, he missed his folks so much it hurt inside.
