109.6 Heartbreak Bar
The really great thing about being young and beautiful was that she never really had to worry about paying for her own alcohol. The problem came when these hopeful alcohol suppliers tried to talk to her. Nikki was angry enough to try to flirt and be friendly but there was a tired sadness that rimmed her eyes and a caution in the way she carried herself. Ordinarily, she was a better actress but it really didn't take much perception for most people to realize that she was a woman on the brink of some spectacular downward spiral and they didn't want her nosediving on their watch.
So while Nicole was never without a drink from one person or another, most seemed to keep a little distance. Only the equally drunk or despirate persued things further that last hour before last call. She debated letting one in particular succeed. She was cute enough though a little pushy but in the end, as much as Nikki hated the idea of another night sleeping alone, she stumbled back to the condo she was squatting in solo.
