1. What did you do in 2015 that you’d never done before?
Drove the Rolex 24 at Daytona. Won the Indianapolis 500. Won the Verizon IndyCar Series championship. Got engaged.
2. Did you keep your new year’s resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I didn't have one.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
No, though there's been an awful lot of baby talk around here.
4. Tell us a valuable lesson you learned in 2015?
That the worst mistake I can make is not believing in myself.
5. What was your favorite new TV program?
I don't really watch TV. Unless it's motorsports.
6. What would you like to have in 2016 that you lacked in 2015?
More than one win.
7. What dates from 2015 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
Jan. 26, May 25 and Aug. 30. The dates of my three victories, because those are moments you never forget.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Winning the Indianapolis 500.
9. What was your biggest failure?
Crashing out in Louisiana.
10. What was the best thing you bought?
My new house.
11. Whose behavior merited celebration?
A lot of people. Josef Newgarden for finally getting his first two wins. Graham Rahal for having his best season. James Hinchcliffe for fighting his way back to the car.
12. Whose behavior made you appalled and disgusted?
Joey Logano.
13. What song will always remind you of 2015?
"Shut Up and Dance" - Walk the Moon
14. What do you wish you’d done more of?
Spent time with my loved ones.
15. What do you wish you’d done less of?
Argued with Shane.
16. What was the best book you read?
Beast by Jade Gurss.
17. What one thing would have made your year measurably more satisfying?
Winning the season finale at Sonoma. Or if not that, finishing the Grand Prix of Louisiana and notching a season sweep of top tens.
18. Describe your love life in 2015.
Perfect.
19. What is one New Year's resolution you have for 2016?
To keep not having my emotions get the better of me.
