6. Heart [Drabble Challenge | 25 Drabbles - Table 1]
Every time he has to chase someone he can feel it pounding in his chest; every time he runs or works out; every time he's passionately entwined with Mike.

It's always there -- the scar and pacemaker. Having to remember to never put his cellphone in his shirt pocket; no MRIs, no magnets. A constant reminder, every day, every hour, every minute, never letting him forget what Joe did to him.

He tries to claim he doesn't think about Joe any more; swears he's put him out of his mind, but it's impossible.

Joe’s there in every beat of his heart.

50 Drabbles, Table 1
Prompt # 45: Family

Family was a feeling that Mickey wasn’t really familiar with. The Gallaghers family was fucked up, but it was still a family. But for Mickey, the relative that had ever felt like family to him was Mandy. Their dad was a prick, their brothers weren’t exactly the type you could really rely on as family.

But Ian? Ian was truly Mickey’s family in every conceivable sense of the word. And when Mickey came home from the Alibi to find Ian giving Yevgeny a bath, it was the first time ever that he felt like the baby was truly his son.

DRABBLE CHALLENGES
Welcome to [community profile] muserevival's Drabble Challenges.

Here you will find 9 tables of prompt sets - 3 of 25, 3 of 50, and 3 of 100 for you to select from.

HOW THIS WORKS
1) Select the table you wish to complete
2) You can post it to your journal via the HTML copy boxes below each table for tracking purposes, if you wish. Some may wish to post a link to their tracking table with the posted drabbles.
3) Traditionally, drabbles should be 100 words exactly to act as snapshots of your muse's life and experiences, and there therein is the challenge.
4) You are welcome to post your drabbles to [community profile] muserevival, but we ask if you are posting more than one drabble in a single post that you put them under a cut to save Read Lists.
5) Tables can be used multiple times if you enjoy drabble writing.

Any questions, drop us a line here.

[ MOD NOTE ] Drabble Challenges
We have had a request from a couple of members to host some drabble challenges. We're always open to suggestions from members on further ideas for muse writing, and happy to accommodate where we can.

We will add some tables with drabble challenge prompts for 25, 50, and 100 drabbles for members to select from, including HTML to paste the tables to your muse's journal for tracking. There won't be a time limit on when you need to complete them by, and you can post the drabbles at your leisure. You are welcome to post your drabbles to [community profile] muserevival, but we will ask that if you are filling more than one prompt in one post to please place it under a cut. We will also add relevant tags to use when you do.

Traditionally, drabbles should be 100 words exactly to act as snapshots of your muse's life and experiences, and there therein is the challenge.

Enjoy :)
