Noah had no idea where he was when he woke up. But he was warm. More warm than he had been in a very long time, and it felt like he was wrapped in cotton wool. He laid still, scared to move in case it all disappeared around him. He was in a dimly lit room that was decorated in a lot of soft and calming colours. He was in a bed too, propped up in it against a mound of pillows. It was a sleigh bed and the quilt tucked up around him looked homemade. Where the fuck was he?

Christmas was harder than he thought it was going to be. He didn't make a big deal of it, but inside, he was having a tough time getting his brain to process everything. The truth was, he was scared to say anything in case they put him back in hospital for more poking, prodding, inserting, scanning, and whatever else they could come up with. He didn't want to be away from Tyler, but at the same time, he didn't know how to stay close to him anymore either.

( Tyler had a pretty intense psychotic break two days before Christmas. Then he ran to one of the crack houses he used to get supplied from and fell off the wagon spectacularly in the process... )
