Somewhere, at some point in the last few weeks, Lorenzo's life had taken a sharp twist when he least expected it. Right at the point when he felt like he was drowning, the fight to keep his head above water so exhausting, the most amazing person had walked into his life and made it impossible for Lorenzo to look past him. Was it kismet? Did he even believe in kismet? He wasn't sure what he believed anymore. Beliefs could only get you so far before you had to make sure you had a firm grip of the reigns of your life.

The sofa was plush, feeling like it was swallowing his butt an hugging around him where he was sitting low down with his low legs sprawled out in front of him, the quilt from the bed tucked around him to keep him warm. Between his hands was a mug of hot chocolate with half-melted pink and white marshmallows leisurely swimming on the surface. He had the mug rested on his chest, and over the rim of it, he contently watched the scene across the room play out.
