Curtis didn't know the first thing about being a father. He knew that, and he accepted it, because going in like a bull at a gate with a lot of father-knows-best bullshit would not only fuck his relationship with his son and said son's mother from the very start, but would make him a pretty major dickhead. He was brand new to this. If he were being honest, he'd known for a while now that Benny was his on some level. Just because the numbers lined up pretty closely didn't mean that he was Benny's dad, but he also knew Dani, and he knew she wasn't in the habit of fucking her way through every guy in the world. Not that he would've judged if she had been. He was of the belief that your body was your own, and what you did with it, so long as you weren't hurting anyone else, more power to you.

But before he'd headed over to Dani's, he had to admit, though, that he was nervous about meeting his son for the first time. Benny was nearly three years old, and according to Ash, he looked like Curtis, though Curtis himself had looked at the photos in Dani's office ever since he'd started to wonder about the boy being his son, and he couldn't say he'd seen it. All he saw when he looked at the photos was Dani. He had Dani's coloring, and from the photos, he looked small and petite, just like she was. Maybe he'd see it more when he actually saw the little guy in person.

( What he hadn't been expecting was for Dani to call him and tell him that she needed him to go over to her place and take over for her twin... )
