Morning
It's just another morning in Indianapolis, and that's the problem. Shelby gets up, showers and throws on another old T-shirt, makes herself breakfast and sits at her kitchen island finishing her coffee watching the news. Other people would consider this relaxing but not her. She doesn't know what to do with herself.
Everything she has any clue about is done. She's run all of her races. Made all of her gym sessions. Finished all her interviews. Taken her one week in Hawaii to recover. There's a dress hanging in the closet for Tuesday's Championship Celebration but that's the last date circled on her calendar. Right now, she's not Shelby Manning, Verizon IndyCar Series champion and driver of the No. 2 Team Penske Chevrolet.
She's just Shelby, and she's never really figured out how to do that.
