I think I need some time away. Not that I, by any means, want to give up being the Primogen of my Clan. It is an honor, and a great responsibility, and not one that I take lightly. I do not even mean to say that I want to leave so long as to miss the important goings on of the Council. But I need to get back to my roots and get my head back into line. Why? Because I'm relatively certain I'm losing my fucking mind. Because truly, what else could be the explanation for the fact that I was actually distracted from important Kindred business in a Council meeting by the very new Childer of the Brujah Primogen?

( Literally moments after my arrival, the Prince's lover's Childer joined us in the Council room... )

I don't think group therapy is for me. I don't know what it is about it, but I don't get it. But at this place, it's compulsory, so I don't have a spare get out of jail free card to skip it. I thought I would like it, because I'm a people person. I like people. They interest me, and I like a good wee chat. No one is here for the social interaction, though. It's been really, really overwhelming to find myself surrounded by other people just like me. People who have become fucks ups because of booze. People who ruined their lives because of booze. People who lost everything important to them because of booze. People who now have medical conditions for the rest of their lives because of booze. Even people who have taken lives because of booze.

( If I had to take one thing away from my first group therapy sessions, it was that I was glad I was never so drunk I killed someone... )

Jett wasn't purposefully being defiant, but there was something about this guy that was really rubbing him up the wrong way. Jett was a Brujah childer, so the very process of him learning was going to be cause for some frustration. Defiance was just a Clan trait, and apparently any sort of dig that he was less than intelligent or knowledgeable was going to spark his Brujah streak that had been bubbling away under the surface for days now. The first few weeks of his Kindred life, he had been subdued and passive... to Molly. To everyone else, he had picked up quickly that he wasn't beholding to them. He translated that into the fact he didn't have to sit around and cop patronising shit off some Grangrel punk trying to make out he was better than him.

( There was also the fact that Jett needed a lot of sustenance being a strengthening childer, so his temper was probably raw to triggering in any sense... )

Skye had an insanely infuriating day of trying to counteract a patch of writers block where she just couldn't get a decent paragraph to string together before she was getting tempted to throw her laptop at the wall and go out to get drunk. It was in a string of texts to both Xavier and Greg where she had been bitching and moaning lamenting her Basic Bitch Human problems that Xavier told her to take the rest of the day away from her writing and come meet him and Greg at the Kindred HQ after their meeting. From there, she would get the limo home to the manor in Westchester with them (a vehicle she had jokingly nicknamed the "Batmobile") and watch some cheesy movie while she ate some awesome meal the chef made and they snacked on each other. Sounded like the perfect stress-reliever to her.

( She arrived before the meeting was over, so she grabbed a to-go coffee from the cafe across the road and then headed up to the roof of the building for a cigarette... )
