The pain was the worst part for Paris. It was like he could even still feel it when he was sleeping. He knew he woke up still in pain. It was like his brain was burning from the inside out, and setting all his senses into high alert where the smallest sound or the dimmest light amped the pain up tenfold. When he woke up, he was in tears before he was even lucid enough to remember his surroundings were a hospital room, latched up to wires and tubes, after literally having his brain cut into.
