106.1. Muse Prompt (Lyrics)

"I let it fall, my heart,
And as it fell you rose to claim it
It was dark and I was over
Until you kissed my lips and you saved me.
My hands, they're strong
But my knees were far too weak,
To stand in your arms
Without falling to your feet"

Justin set his iPad aside on the king-sized bed taking pride and place in the middle of his hotel room. He had just finished Skyping his parents. Even though it was late at night there in Australia after the show that evening, it was just after 8am in New York. The time in Sydney was flying, likely down to the fact that the schedule was jam-packed and there was little down time. He was sharing a room with Jeff, which was pretty cool. Will, who had come to Australia with the entourage, was staying with family a relatively short drive away from the hotel.

He got up off the bed and went over to the large window. It offered amazing views of Sydney Harbour. The Bridge and the Opera House were there in all their glory. It had still been feeling weird for Justin to be here without his parents. This was his third trip to Australia since he found his dad and discovered he was Aussie. Initially, he had planned on staying with his grandparents, but they didn't live directly in the city and Justin needed to be near the theatre. The last three nights here in Australia, their shows would be at Sydney Opera House. It was un-fucking-believable.

Getting lost in his own thoughts for a little while, Justin sat on the wide window sill, legs spread out in front of him and rested his head against the glass. He looked down the 32 floors to the ground below. The people walking by and enjoying the Sydney weekend nightlife looked like ants. Sydney seemed to come alive at night. More so than the day. It was amazing to see, but Justin knew he needed to rest. It would be a huge mistake to go out and not chill out when he wasn't working. The rest of the group had, though. They were at some nightclub on the Harbour, which Justin wouldn't have been allowed into anyway being underage. After his terrible experience with the rave party, those sorts of scenes terrified him now.

Soon, he got up again and picked up his cell phone from the stand beside the bed and took it back over to the window. He briefly scrolled some of Facebook, but lost interest. Instead, he opened up Whatsapp and sent Will a text.

Is it too late for you to get a cab here to my hotel?

There was some hesitation before hitting send. Will was probably in bed. It was late. Justin should be asleep by now, but he was hitting one of those insomniac nights where his mind wasn't really racing, but it was hard to switch off to invite sleep. There had still been a divide between him and Will, but the last few hours, Justin's mind kept going back to him. Will had been in the front row of the show that night with a pile of his family members. During the standing ovation and applause at the end, Justin had seen Will gesturing widely up to Justin to his family and beaming while he clapped. Without even thinking, Justin had blown him a kiss before the curtains came down and he had to meet a pile of fans who won a radio competition.

He didn't know why that moment had really hit him deeply. It kept playing on his mind, and he had seen that surprised look that passed over Will's face for a moment or two before one of his cousins was grabbing his arm and jumping up and down happily with him. It had been a long time since his heart skipped a beat in a moment like that with Will. But it did, and he couldn't deny it to himself. And he couldn't stop thinking about it.

Justin was in a pair of satin designer boxer shorts and a black tank top. His dad had told him to go to bed and get some sleep as they signed off Skype, and Justin had promised he would. The sleepiness just wasn't coming, and maybe it was because his mind was distracted by other things. He opened up the Photos app on his phone and scrolled way back to some selfies on him and Will. Though 'some' wasn't really accurate. There were a lot. All taken during their happier time when things made sense and worked. Everything had gone horribly wrong when Justin's illness caused him and their relationship to keep veering off course, crashing and burning over and over again.

Then, there in the middle of the random selfies, some cute and sweet, some cheeky and mischievous, were some pictures they had taken together after they had sex. He forgot they were even in there, and his scrolling slowed down. Nakedness, intimacy, snuggling, kissing... He didn't notice at first that his body was reacting. For the first time in a long time, he was getting turned on and he caught his lower lip between his teeth. The temptation to put his hand inside his boxers was strong, but it was interrupted by the text message tone with Will's reply.

Nope. Can get a lift with my cousin. C U soon xxx

After a glance out of the window again, Justin's eyes went back to the photos on his phone. He took in the images for a little longer, trying to figure out the mix of emotions that were stirring up inside him. His thumb pressed the button and the screen went black, shutting off the picture Will had snapped of him asleep against his shoulder to tease him with the day after. Justin knew then that the reason he hadn't remembered these photos were there was because he hadn't been ready to revisit them until now.

It was about 10-15 minutes before there was a knock at his hotel room door. Those minutes had been swallowed up by Justin just staring out at the peaceful view of Sydney Harbour, using as a backdrop to shuffle through bits and pieces of memories and thoughts ticking over in his mind. He got up and went to answer the door. When he opened it and found Will there, smiling... albeit hesitantly, Justin didn't say anything at first. Will probably came in case Justin was having a crisis, hence the hesitant smile.

A few beats passed, Justin's eyes locked with Will's. And then without letting his mind run the show here, he stepped up, cupping Will's face in his palm and kissed him. There was a desperation to it, and as it continued, he was pulling Will gently into the room and let the door swing closed and locked behind them. His other hand had gone to Will's waist, clutched in a needy hold. It was only released to seek out Will's hand, taking it and guiding it to where he was hard in his boxers.

In the kiss, Justin felt and heard Will's breath hitch. He broke it just long enough to murmur against Will's lips, "It's okay. I want this. I'm ready..."
