2) He doesn't think chivalry is dead. He opens the doors, pulls out the chairs, asks how my day was.

3) Someone who understands my geeky side. He's not going to make fun of me when I tell him that my dream date is Lee Adama from Battlestar Galactica or when he finds the working tricorder in my desk drawer.

4) He's OK with my job. I'd compromise on work hours if I had someone to go home to, but there's always going to be that business trip or that night when something runs late, and I don't want to feel like I'm not enough.

5) Someone who's as big a romantic as I am.

6) He's not going to think my sister is prettier than me.

7) Someone I can talk to about everything in my life. My last boyfriend dumped me because he said I talked about work too much and not enough about myself. I want somebody who can listen to everything going on, even if it's just work stuff.

8) And if I can be shallow? Someone tall, dark and handsome. Seriously, if Lee Adama were a real person, I would be all over that.

It wasn’t a cold night in New York by any means, but it felt freezing as Liam stumbled out the door of the apartment block to try and gulp in some much needed air. It felt like someone was sitting on his chest and crushing it, even if he was aware of how fast his heart was beating within. He had broken out into a sweat, which tingled his skin when the air hit it, and his hands were now trembling violently. He was struggling to catch his breath, and there was a ringing in his ears drowning out the usual sounds of the big city. His feet managed to get him to the bottom of the steps in a messy stumble, and once he was there, he grabbed hold of a nearby iron railing, leaning over and clutching at his chest when he was sure he was about to vomit.

( He knew what panic attacks were like. He wasn’t foreign to them. It had just been sometime since he had one this bad. The ones that felt like he would never be able to breathe again... )

1) I know that actions speak louder than words, but, sometimes words are good. Mark isn't afraid to tell me that he loves me. I need affection and those three words, and he isn't scared of giving me what I need.

2) He is generous, sometimes he's too generous to the point he over looks his own needs/wants. But, it is one of the qualities I was most attracted to when we first met.

3) Mark is smart and intelligent without being arrogant. He has the patience to explain things I don't understand as well as he does without ever making me feel stupid.

4) He's good with his hands. In a lot of ways. Our house will never fall apart as long as Mark has tools. The cars will always run great.

5) Mark is very supportive of my career. Even when that means touring the world, crazy fans bothering us at the coffee shop and invasive paparazzi blasting our pictures in the tabloids. He didn't sign up to be a celebrity, I sort of drug him along into all of this crazy. But, he's always there, strong as a rock for all of it.

6) Somehow he knows when I'm not okay. I don't even have to say anything. He can figure it out from a look. Or all the things I don't say. But, he always seems to know when I need him most.

7) He's great with kids.

8) He has the best smile. I mean, really, my husband is great looking, I'm very, very lucky, but there is just something about his smile.
