As Shelby's watching them clean up in Victory Lane, she sees a face she didn't expect in the crowd. Chris Alvarez looks a lot different than she remembers him; he's cleaned up in a suit and tie and he's holding a bottle of champagne. And she's laughing because he looks better than she does after spending two hours driving a car in the heat and because under no circumstances should he actually be walking toward her.

"What are you doing here?" she asks, wondering why he decided to get a ticket and if he knows how overdressed he is in that suit.

"I heard you only drink champagne when you win," he replies, tipping the bottle toward her. "And you won, so, champagne?"

"I will actually." Shelby chuckles because he's right. She only opens a bottle when she's earned it and tonight would qualify. But it's normally someone on her team handing it to her, or at the least her father, not the fighter whom Peter recruited as her new sparring partner. She hardly knows Chris and yet he's making a point of coming here and making her a peace offering, which is why she adds, "You came all the way here for me why?"

"To take you out to dinner," he comments. "You should get changed. I made reservations for eight and I'll pick you up in the hotel lobby."

And then he hands her the bottle and he's walking away, she knows so that it's impossible for her to argue the point. Shelby can't believe the audaciousness of it and yet she can't help but laugh. She just calls after him:

"Wait, you almost punched me in the face yesterday and now you're asking me out?"

Chris doesn't even turn around. "Got your attention, didn't it?" he replies, and Shelby just turns and walks the other way toward the media center for her press conference, making a mental note to ask her trainer where he found this guy.

Every Broadway performance Reecy did as Velma Kelly in Chicago, she was sure she would never tire of the role. It never failed to feel exciting and fresh. Her co-star was amazing, and the rest of the cast were dripping in talent and theatre experience. A lot of the time, she couldn't believe this was her life. Career-wise, her life was en-pointe.

Everything else? She still wasn't quite sure. Her love life had crashed and burned. She didn't miss it. How could you miss something that was barely hanging on by a sliver by the time she chose to put it out of its misery? Her social life had boiled down to father-daughter nights with her dad, and dates with gay guys trying to go out and meet some new people so she wasn't sitting at home alone. She had found a great new apartment in walking distance of the theatre district, and she had been able to afford the deposit on it to buy it. She was officially successful enough to own her own place. It felt exhilarating.

Em and Ange had been very carefully keeping an eye on things, and as soon as the fertility monitor told them that Em was ovulating, Ange was rushing to get Clitty to jerk off into a receptacle.

Winter

When Naomi had left her apartment in Santa Monica, the weather had been warm and sunny. She hadn't at all been prepared for the New York winter, and her first stop had been at the ever-popular Macy's to find and buy a winter coat and a pair of boots. For the time being, they'd have to work with her skinny jeans and t-shirt, because she didn't have time for a full on shopping session. Los Angeles didn't really lend itself to dressing well for a New York winter. But that would come later, she supposed. She would survive for now, and shop later. Her first goal in coming here... her only goal, really, was to find out why her dad hadn't been buried in Savannah... and if maybe her suspicion that Zoran wasn't quite so dead could be true.

Justin hated those weeks where everything felt like it was piling on top of him. The past month, he had been doing so well and he was proud to say his illness had been what his doctors called “stabilised and managed”. That made sense. That is how he had been feeling. Sure, he had to get injections every day that he still hated, but if it made him feel normal, it was a small price to pay. Having bipolar felt a lot like a boat ride. It was the only way he had been able to explain it to people. Sometimes, the boat was a smooth and cruisey journey. It was peaceful and the water was calm. Or it might be docked in a harbour, broken down, and completely idle. Other times, it was turbulent, windy, the water was rough and made the boat tip and sway in the wind. And then, at its worst, the boat might hit a choppy patch and get thrown around and maybe even turned completely.

( The week started okay, but it became obvious to people close to him that he had some underlying restlessness and agitation... )

Ultimately, it didn’t matter how, it just mattered that it was special and memorable.

Lorenzo had nearly gone down for a murder he didn't commit. Everyone had skeletons on thier closet, or things they shouldered alone. His just seemed to carry the weight of an army of skeletons. It was over three months ago now, but a lot of it was still very fresh. Sometimes, he was just too ashamed to admit how badly he had dealt with things. There was also the fact he knew people would try to tell him he actually dealt with it very well, when all it had been was scrambling to try to stop the feeling like he was drowning and couldn't go on.

A year of her running around the past and future, wreaking havoc, saving lives, having ridiculous adventures. But it had been five long years for everyone else, everyone who was taking the slow path.

Grief

Beau was still sound asleep when Austin woke up... probably the sixth or seventh time he'd done so since falling asleep the night before, terrified of finding his husband not breathing. He'd seen every hour on the clock, at least one more than once, and every time, he'd thanked the universe that Beau was still breathing. Beau was still curled close to Austin's chest, and when he got up, Austin wrapped the blankets a little tighter around his husband, trying to keep him as warm as he could. He walked to the door, and when his hand came to rest on the knob, he stopped again, turning to look at Beau. Still breathing. But he looked so cold.

Which led to round two, adding more blankets and very gently putting one of Beau's warmer hats on, which by some miracle, managed not to wake him -- only leading to one more breathing check on Austin's part. He'd told Angel that he would be heading into the kitchen to make some coffee a few minutes before, and his twin was supposed to come in to grab his phone from him and call Tara while Austin went back to check on Beau again.

( But when Austin got to the kitchen to try and make the coffee, he was literally so lost and confused by everything that his brain wouldn't seem to come to the party at all... )

Now this is all just a guess right now as he is a fresh character. I'm just looking to flesh him out along the way, and maybe write for him to see where he goes. That's just what I get after his first appearance on the show. I'll either hit the nail on the head or be completely off.

This is a lot easier than I thought it would be. I've seen Mulders and I've seen Scullys. The one character from his canon I would absolutely love to have him interact with is Monica Reyes. I know a lot of people hated Doggett and Reyes but they never got the development they deserved. I'd love to work on their partnership. There's alsp the shipper in me that ships these two but that would never be forced upon by me. Doggett just needs his partner I think.


On the slim chance anyone would want to pick up Reyes feel free to PM me and we can hash things out.

The Unsuals was one of those shows that came and went with much sadness to fans. It was given ten episodes but those episodes were some of the most fun television I got to watch, and rewatch on DVD. There are really two characters that I'd love to have steadily around for Jason.

Casey Shraeger is the new partner he is given. They had such a fun banter about them without any of that romantic tension stigma a lot of male and female partners are given. They just have this fun snarky platonic relationship I'd love to play out.

The other is another fellow detective, Allison Beaumont who is for all purposes his woman. According to Jason the whole boyfriend girlfriend thing is for 12 year olds aka children. He'll tell you he's her man. They just have this fun little numbers game they play that amuses me. Their scenes together are always fun. I don't want to give away too much if you've never seen it and want to watch it (netflix and hulu has it).

That's the last thing he said to me -- and he didn't come back. He's gone. Taken -- by her. By the very person I sent out to him. I protected her and gave her a straight, unimpeded shot at him without me around to protect him.

It's Charlie Burton all over again -- and possibly just as lethal, considering what happened to Corwin. I gave her an all expenses paid tour of how we work as a team, of what we're capable of, and I essentially unleashed her on him, while keeping everyone who might have been able to stop her busy following me.

Yeah, I couldn't have known; hindsight is 20/20, whatever bullshit you want to say to reassure me it's not my fault. Except it is my fault. I've been trained to see through this kind of thing. I've been trained to read people and figure out exactly this kind of trick.

And I failed.

And because I failed, the person who means the most to me in the whole world is gone. Taken somewhere, held in the clutches of a computer genius who also happens to be an evil shrink.

I have to get him back -- before she can do too much to him... Before she has a chance to do too much damage.

Right now I wish I didn't know so much about torture.

My life tends to be a bit like Days of Our Lives sometimes, so at lot of things have impacted on me so damn much that it feels like they have knocked my very soul loose. To pick a single event seems almost impossible. I could talk about when my mom died, but I was so young and all I really remember was that day she was there, and the next she was just... gone.

( Or there is always coming out of the closet, which was a gradual event because I was standing with barely a toe dipped out of the closet door for so long trembling in fear that my very life as I knew it would change forever... )

A few years ago, Finn's answer probably would have been different, and it would have been unlikely he had the train of thought to choose anyway. But now, it's a no-brainer for him. His favourite person is his stepbrother, Kurt. Sure, his mom, Carole, his stepdad, Burt, and his girlfriend, Rachel are right up on the list, but Kurt is the one who seriously opened his eyes to how much he was headed towards being a prize-A jerk. He definitely had his fair share of jerky moments, but it was mostly because he's never been the brightest bulb in the bunch (and he knows it). It was mostly just ignorance to things he didn't understand, but Kurt opened his eyes to a hell of a lot of things, and Finn adores him now and loves him unconditionally.

Finn was over the moon when their folks got married and Kurt became the brother he always wanted. It was a rough road for them, when Kurt had a confused and misguided crush on him during sophomore year and Finn didn't deal with any of it very well at all. But he was put firmly in his place by Burt, and after that, he and Kurt started to mend their relationship and became closer. It was never going to be easy, but that is why Finn has come to cherish it so much now. He still doesn't exactly understand what a rainbow has to do with gay people, or why girls think it's so hot to see two guys together (even if lesbians together are totally hot), but he's come a long way and having Kurt as his brother is one of the most important things in the world to him now.

What event has impacted the most on your muse’s life?

Quinn's pregnancy, without a doubt, has been what has impacted the most on her. In fact, it impacted so hard, she has never quite gotten back on her feet after it. She has tried, and many different tactics, to get over it and move on, but she is walking proof how one tiny mistake at the time can literally take your life and shake it up to something you don't even recognise. In fact, it caused Quinn to not even know herself, and ironically, the happiest she has been since it happened was right before she gave birth when she was surrounded by friends she never thought she would have and always took for granted.

This would be a hard choice to make for Kurt. Currently, he has two people who are of equal importance to him; his father, Burt, and his boyfriend, Blaine. There's no doubt that by just how much he has fallen head-over for Blaine, though, he would pick him as his favourite right now. His dad is his hero, but Blaine has literally changed his life for the better.
